Recipient's last name obscured (referred to as "Captain" and "Sir"). Letter consists of an in-depth analysis of John Philip Kemble and Edmund Kean in Shakespearean roles. Trollope places Kemble as, on the whole, the most accomplished actor she has ever seen, but says that Kean surpassed him in Othello. Hamlet was the great triumph of J.P. Kemble. Also mentions that she considers "Mrs. Siddons' Lady Macbeth as the most perfect piece of acting."
